BOOKS
A book on Afghanistan's history, archaeology, and architecture

Afghanistan is a country which for generations has inspired writers, travelers, and explorers and now there is a book that captures the history and beauty of this fascinating country. Meticulously researched by noted writer and archeologist, Warwick Ball, "The Monuments of Afghanistan" uniquely chronicles and illustrates Afghanistan's major (and many lesser known) monuments and buildings that have sadly been lost or damaged due to almost thirty years of fighting and instability throughout the country.
A Book on Afghanistan's History

Help The Afghan Children received a generous donation of 100 copies of a book by former director of the UNHCR office in Peshawar, Pakistan, Mr. Angelo Rasanayagam, titled Afghanistan: A Modern History. The book on Afghanistan history takes one on an incredible journey from its position in the 19th Century as part of what's come to be known as "The Great Game," to its current geo-political importance in the world today.
